How to combine a sliding wardrobe and a stretch ceiling?

Since cabinets of this type occupy all the space along the wall, under the ceiling, it is necessary to observe a few points:

• The “roof” of the cabinet must not damage the canvas for the stretch ceiling.
• The cabinet must open freely so that the PVC film or frame structure on which it is stretched is not damaged.
• The junction of the stretch ceiling with the cabinet should look neat and natural, without visible “dips” or additional “camouflage” structures.
• Both the cabinet and all the elements of the ceiling should be arranged so that if it is necessary to repair or replace parts, access is open to them.

There are two optimal and fairly reliable options for combining a PVC ceiling and a built-in wardrobe.

1. In the first version, the cabinet and the ceiling profile are joined due to a common detail – a beam. The beam is fixed on the architectural ceiling of the room. After that, the elements of the upper part of the “compartment” are screwed to it from below, and on the side (on the side that is closer to the center of the room) – a plastic or aluminum profile for the NP. As a result, both structures remain autonomous from each other – each of the frames, if necessary, can be removed from the timber without touching the other. This method is optimal if the cabinet and ceiling are placed simultaneously in an empty room.
   
2. The second option is based on the fact that the upper part of the sliding wardrobe (that is, the upper crossbar of its frame) is at the same time the base on which the frame structure for the ceiling will be fixed. Most often, they resort to this method if they make a suspended ceiling in a room where there was already a closet. It is important that the cabinet parts withstand the supporting structures of the ceiling by their weight, and that the ceiling level is not lower than the fixed elements of the cabinet.
