Does the stretch ceiling attract dust?
Despite the fact that stretch ceilings have been actively used in repair work for more than ten years, they are often still viewed as a wonder, attributing unusual and sometimes even paradoxical properties. One of these statements: “stretch ceiling is a magnet for dust.” Let’s see if this really is.
There are two reasons for dust settling on objects:
- Under the influence of gravity, suspended particles fall down and are deposited on objects, i.e. dust under the influence of its gravity, most likely, will fall to the floor, and not rise to the ceiling.
- Static stress objects attracts dust. The material used for stretch ceiling canvases is made of PVC, to which special impurities are added, to ensure fire safety, elasticity, antistaticity.
Consequently, suspended ceilings are not static, they do not electrify, and do not attract dust. That is why practically do not require regular care.
Antistaticity allows not to close stretch ceilings, even in those in the premises in which repair work is carried out, construction dust will not accumulate on it.
The exceptions are stretch ceilings suede texture.
